Description:
The increasing use of electronic control circuits in Locomotives
need various DC supply voltages. The main converter output I
battery of the Locomotives is generally standardized at 11 OV DC.
It is not possible to have battery systems at various DC Voltages
in the limited space of a Locomotive. Hence DC to DC
conversation is needed to obtain the other DC supplies. The
converter uses solid state circuitry for high efficiency and good
regulation for both input voltage and load current variation.
Protection against under and over voltages are also provided.
Solid state circuitry also ensures fast response of correction
against input and load fluctuations.
